Sprinkler System
Sprinkler system is an automatic extinguishing system for intervention with water in the area where the fire is located. MKA Engineering; It deals with system selection, project planning, application coordination and delivery scope in factories and warehouses according to the use of the facility. We receive service requests for Çorlu, Ergene, Kapaklı and Tekirdağ from our Çerkezköy center. In a new installation or expansion of an existing facility, simply determining the number of heads is not enough. Stored materials, shelf layout, ceiling geometry, water source and operating conditions of the business are examined together. This page describes general sprinkler service; Details of node and critical circuit calculations are in our separate hydraulic calculation service.
quick reply
Sprinkler system is an automatic extinguishing system for intervention with water in the area where the fire is located. MKA Engineering; It deals with system selection, project planning, application coordination and delivery scope in factories and warehouses according to the use of the facility.
From facility use to system selection
The protection conditions of a factory production area and a high-shelf warehouse are not considered the same. During the exploration, we evaluate the use of the structure, production or storage method, shelf and ceiling relationship, intermediate floors and other existing extinguishing installations. Changes in use over time also affect the design decision. If the employer's planned capacity increase is shared at the beginning, piping, technical volume and water supply decisions can be handled accordingly. Design criteria are determined in writing after verifying the legislation and standard versions applicable to the project.
Wet, dry and pre-action options
When choosing between wet pipe, dry pipe and pre-reaction systems, ambient temperature, possibility of freezing, water sensitivity of the products in the area and operating scenario are examined. The name of a system alone does not indicate suitability for every location. The valve station, alarm interfaces, testing and drainage layout are planned together with the selected system. If necessary, coordination is established with detection and electrical disciplines. The acceptance conditions and operating responsibilities of the system are clearly written in the scope of the offer; Product approvals are evaluated based on the concrete model and condition of use.
Storage arrangement and hydraulic calculation relationship
The type of material in the warehouse, its packaging, storage height and shelf geometry are the basic inputs for the project. This information is clarified before placing the title. Conflicts with ceiling obstacles, lighting and other installations are evaluated in the drawing. The hydraulic calculation reveals the water demand of the selected design scenario and the conditions at the critical point. Pump and tank selection is not made in isolation from this demand. If a new shelf is installed or a product is changed in an existing system, the validity of the old project is first examined; Just connecting additional pipes is not considered sufficient.
Coordination in implementation and operating facility
The application plan describes pipe routes, hangers, equipment access, valve locations and test points. Separation of the work area in the operating facility, works that conflict with production, and phases where the system is temporarily disabled should be planned together with the business. Occupational safety and operation responsibilities of this service are separated in the contract. The material list is compared with the equipment arriving at the site; changes are committed to the project revision. The necessary coordination with architectural, static, electrical and detection disciplines is carried out according to the task distribution of the parties undertaking the work.
Testing, commissioning and delivery
Delivery is not just the visible completion of the assembly. Test records, valve labels, equipment information, operating descriptions and post-application revised drawings are prepared according to the scope of work. The test method, acceptance criteria and responsible party are determined at the outset. The points that the maintenance team that will use the system needs to reach and the normal operating positions are clearly displayed. It is recommended to keep the documents to be used in subsequent periodic control and maintenance works together. It is also explained that monthly operating inspection, maintenance and regulated control are different tasks.
Information determining the scope of the offer
In the first evaluation, the district of the facility, its purpose of use, approximate area, current project status and desired service can be shared. Architectural plan, rack layout, and existing pump information, if available, make it easier to clarify the scope. A fixed square meter price does not provide comparable results for all facilities without knowing these inputs. In the proposal, the project, calculation, equipment, assembly, testing and delivery works are separately stated. Missing entries are completed during discovery; Discovery time, implementation schedule and delivery time are determined by mutual evaluation.
Document business changes
If usage, shelf placement or the product to be protected changes after delivery, it is important to track this in the maintenance and project file. Any addition to the current system may impact previous account acceptances. The operating team should record the scope of the change and notify the responsible engineer whether a new evaluation is required.
Frequently asked questions
Do all sprinklers turn on at the same time?
How it works depends on the system type. Different triggering schemes should not be confused with systems in which the heads are opened separately by heat. The scenario of the system to be selected for your facility is explained in the project.
Can sprinklers be added to the existing factory?
First, the existing structure, water source, pump, usage and route information are examined. The applicable solution and the work plan during production are determined after this evaluation.
Is the hydraulic account separate from this service?
The necessary calculations of the overall system project are defined according to the scope of the proposal. You can review the hydraulic calculation page to request a separate account or account control of the current project.
How is the installation price determined?
Scope of protection, system type, water source, piping, access and delivery works are evaluated together. Whether equipment and application are included is clearly indicated in the written offer.
According to which rule is obligation evaluated?
The requirements of the administration regarding the legislation in force for the use and features of the building are checked. When evaluating the necessity of a sprinkler system, we examine together the use of the facility, storage layout, project inputs regarding fire load and the design criteria to be applied.
What should I send first for a quote?
Share the company name, the district of the facility, its usage and the new installation or revision request. Stating that you have drawings makes it easier to determine the initial scope.
Discovery and technical proposal request
Share the facility location, current project status and the service you want for the Sprinkler System. Let's clarify the scope of discovery, calculation, application and delivery together.
