Compressed Air Ring Line and Compressor Installation Project

We design compressed air lines, ring routes, filter/dryer layout and condensate discharge from the compressor outlet to the machine usage points in factories and production facilities.

Technical Calculation and Project

Design principles for Compressed Air Installation Project

In a compressed air system, the compressor catalog pressure and the remaining pressure at the machine inlet may be different. Simultaneous consumption, pipe losses, filtering equipment and future capacity expansion must be considered together.

01 / COMPRESSED AIR

Air flow rate and consumption

Design flow rate is determined by machine catalog consumptions, simultaneous operation and future capacity increase.

02 / COMPRESSED AIR

Ring and branch calculation

Pipe diameter, length, connection losses and pressure drop at the critical point are evaluated.

03 / COMPRESSED AIR

Dryer and filtering

Air preparation elements suitable for the desired pressure dew point, particle and oil quality and machine needs are selected.

04 / COMPRESSED AIR

Condensate and safety

Condensate separator, discharge, service valves, manometer and pressurized system safety are handled within the scope of the project.

Engineering Process

Discovery, calculation, project and field control

Design assumptions are clarified by evaluating each facility's intended use, existing infrastructure and equipment conditions separately.

01

Machinery inventory

Nominal air consumption, operating pressure and simultaneity information are collected.

02

Pipe network calculation

Flow rate, flow rate and pressure loss are controlled in rings and branches.

03

Station and quality

Compressor, air tank, dryer and filtration placements are evaluated.

04

Plan and commissioning

A test plan is prepared for line diagram, metering, leakage and pressure checks.

Project Preliminary Information

The data we need in technical evaluation

  • Air consumption and pressure requirement per machine
  • Compressor capacity and air tank information, if any
  • Factory layout and ring routes
  • Target air quality and dew point
  • Existing filter/dryer and condensate drain arrangement

Missing information and scope of discovery can be determined at the first meeting.

Safety and Standards

Critical conditions of the project

The ordinary water pipe approach may not be correct in compressed air installation. Pipe material, pressure class, connections and tank/compressor safety must be selected in accordance with the relevant legislation and equipment documents of the system.

Relevant legislation, applicable TS/TS EN standards, employer technical specifications and manufacturer instructions are checked according to the project type. Application and testing processes must be carried out in accordance with the authorization/license conditions.

Technical Question

Should ring line or single line be preferred?

If the consumption points and load distribution allow, the ring arrangement can reduce the pressure loss with different feeding directions; The choice is verified by hydraulic/pneumatic calculation.

Detailed Technical Coverage

Compressed Air and Ring Network Subsystems

Each subsystem is evaluated with separate calculation and equipment criteria in the project; are combined into a single engineering solution suitable for operating conditions.

01 / SUBSYSTEM

compressor station

Screw/piston compressor capacity, redundancy, compressor room ventilation and maintenance distances are evaluated.

02 / SUBSYSTEM

Machine air consumption

The flow rate, minimum pressure, instantaneous consumption and concurrency scenario of each production machine are calculated.

03 / SUBSYSTEM

Ring and branch pipes

Ring diameter, line losses, critical machine inlet pressure, valve and machine flexible connections to usage points are calculated.

04 / SUBSYSTEM

Air tank and buffer volume

Air reserve appropriate to peak drafts, compressor load/idle cycle and pressure band is determined.

05 / SUBSYSTEM

Air drying and filtration

Filter, dryer, oil separator, ISO 8573 air quality and required dew point class are selected.

06 / SUBSYSTEM

Frequently asked questions

How to prepare a quote for Compressed Air Installation?

Compressor and receiver equipment information is shared along with the facility's district, usage type and desired service. Account, project, application and test items are separated in the written scope.

Will existing drawings be sufficient?

The drawings are compared with the field. If there are revisions, changes in use, and missing equipment information, their impact on the account or project is examined.

What documents are submitted?

Ring line and branch layout, pressure loss and pipe selection evaluation and other documents included in the scope of work are delivered. The file format and revision scope are determined at the outset.

Is fixed capacity used for each facility?

No. Usage, system structure and field data are different. Numerical values cannot be applied to all facilities without verifying the relevant calculation and method.

Are implementation and control the same scope?

Project planning, assembly, field inspection and testing tasks are defined separately. The proposal states which party is responsible for which work.

From which regions do you receive requests for exploration?

Requests from Çorlu, Ergene, Kapaklı and Tekirdağ are evaluated from our Çerkezköy center. The time and conditions of the field visit are decided separately.
