Plumbing, Clean Water and Wastewater Project Planning

We plan domestic water, hot water circulation, waste water, rain water and related plumbing systems in buildings. We evaluate pipe diameter, line pressure loss, vertical column and drainage details as part of the project.

Account and System Design

Technical approach for Plumbing Project

Pressurization of clean water and gravity drainage of wastewater are different design disciplines. It is not correct to apply the same pipe diameter method to every line.

01 / PLUMBING

Clean and hot water

Utilization devices, simultaneous demand, remote consumption point pressure and hot water circulation losses are determined.

02 / PLUMBING

Dirty water and air

Vertical column, horizontal wastewater, ventilation and cleaning access are designed according to the installation load.

03 / PLUMBING

rainwater

Rainfalls, collection lines and drainage connections are evaluated according to the roof/drainage area and project rainfall data.

04 / PLUMBING

Armature and shaft coordination

Wet volume, floor passage, shaft, meter and maintenance access are coordinated with architecture and other disciplines.

Engineering Process

Four stages from discovery to implementation project

After the project data and existing system conditions are determined, calculations, layout, equipment and field coordination are brought together in the same technical document.

01

Location and device list

Sanitary ware, tap, process connection and roof area information is collected.

02

Flow and drainage design

Clean water demand, hot water circulation, wastewater load and rainwater are calculated.

03

Pipe, column and shaft

Pipe materials, slopes, column placement and service areas are planned.

04

Application drawings

Floor plan, isometric/column diagram, quantity surveying and technical descriptions are prepared.

Before Starting the Project

Information required for preliminary evaluation

Depending on the type of project, the following data may be shared:

  • Architectural plan, number of floors and wet volumes
  • Number of fixtures and users, usage profile
  • Network inlet pressure and water quality information
  • Tank, hydrophore and hot water production layout
  • Roof areas, drainage levels and connection points
Field and Operation

Things to consider in design

Wastewater, rainwater and clean water circuits are not used interchangeably. Backflow protection, purge connection, venting and appropriate drainage slopes must be addressed on a system-by-system basis.

The regulations to be applied to the project, relevant TS/TS EN standards, equipment manufacturer requirements and employer technical specifications are evaluated together. Design assumptions are verified against the actual conditions of the facility.

Frequently Asked Technical Question

Why is the farthest tap important in clean water installation?

The required dynamic pressure of the consumption point furthest from the entrance or with the most negative elevation is controlled together with all line losses.

Detailed Technical Coverage

All Subsystems of Plumbing

Domestic water, hot water, waste water and rainwater installations of the building should be calculated separately from each other and coordinated with the architecture in a single project.

01 / SUBSYSTEM

Cold clean water installation

Fixture load, simultaneity, building entrance pressure, column/floor distribution, pipe velocity and farthest tap dynamic pressure are calculated.

02 / SUBSYSTEM

Domestic hot water

Boiler, plate heat exchanger, hot water need, storage/sudden capacity, circulation, hydraulic and thermostatic balancing are evaluated.

03 / SUBSYSTEM

Wastewater and sewage column

Column, horizontal collection, cleaning part, vent and drainage slopes are planned depending on the wastewater load of devices such as toilets/sinks.

04 / SUBSYSTEM

Rainwater and roof drainage

Roof area, rainfall intensity, down and horizontal drainage pipes, roof drain, overflow protection and backlash protection measures are calculated.

05 / SUBSYSTEM

Gray water and recovery

Physical separation from greywater collection, filtration, storage and domestic water circuits in appropriate facilities; hygiene and backflow protection are evaluated.

06 / SUBSYSTEM

Tank and hydrophore feeding

If the network pressure is insufficient, the domestic water tank and booster system is designed with a critical point pressure and daily consumption scenario.

07 / SUBSYSTEM

Wet volume and equipment detail

Pipe covers, shafts, floor transitions, meters, backflow preventers, valve sets, armature connections and maintenance covers are detailed.

Equipment list

Clean water/wastewater pipes, boiler, booster, tank, strainer, vent, collector, circulation pump, valve and backflow protection kit.

Design deliverables

Clean water and wastewater floor plans, column diagrams, sanitary flow table, critical pressure calculation, material quantity survey and technical specifications.
